Hi my name is Desire. And I am going to tell you something about the fiafia Pt England show that we will be having 60th Anniversary. I am in the wonderful Niuean group on the south side by Tonga’s and Cook Islanders in the south pacific.
I think it is going to be cool because lots of kids are going to perform different items of their culture. Our costumes are going to be dress and we are going to also be wearing black singlets and white singlets.
Fiafia is nearly coming up. So we are going to be practising for it 3 times a week so we can get better each time we train.

Mufti Day and my Wacky hat
Today at Pt England School it is mufti day and the theme is wacky hair .When I came to school today I looked all around me because every one was wearing mufti and they had funny hair styles too. All so I was amazed because some of them are pretty cool, also they all look like halloween costumes. Some kids here at school have red hair and some have green hair, some have spikes and some have bushy hair . Even our teachers are dressed up for today. I am wearing a Wacky hat today, it is the monster off Monsters Inc his name is Mike I like it because it has one eye and that makes me have 3 eyes today. It is bright green too which is a really cool colour.

Mangere Pools Trip
Our trip to Mangere Pool's
On the last day of camp I went to the Mangere Pools to have a day that I can relax and have an awesome time with my friends. On that day we all went to the pools on a bus. These pools are in South Auckland, it is far from our school.
At the pools I first went in to the little pools first I had a 2 min swim then I went to the big top pools and by the way it was really deep. I also had a turn on the slides and it was scary because you go slow and then you go fast. I did a front flip when I landed in the pool. It was a great day.

Testing Omaru Creek for Turbidity
Testing Omaru Creek for turbidity.
Omaru Creek - Testing for turbidity. |
I am going to find out What the turbidity water is of Omaru creek.
I am going to test this by:Going every time to Omaru creek for font size.
Resources and equipment: We used a bucket and string at the creek to get the water. In our class we used a jar to take some water out for testing. For the test we used paper to see just how dirty the water was.
I predict that:The bridge water is more murky then the tap water. I think that the size will be 12 for the murky bridge water that has catfish swimming in it.
I think this because: When we got some water from the creek we took the bucket down there and we went to get some bridge water as well and I found out that it is the most polluted water ever and I think that the catfish is what makes the water murky. The catfish go down to the bottom of the creek and stir up the dirt and that makes it murky.
Results of my tests

My conclusion (what I found out): the bridge water was the murkiest water.
Why I think this is: because the catfish in there is making the water murky and dirty.
